A Glimpse into My Past
Growing up, my family faced significant hardships. After my father passed away from kidney failure, my mother was left to raise six children on her own. This experience taught me independence and resilience. I learned the importance of hard work early on, selling goods and collaborating with others to support my education.
I wasn’t born into wealth, and there were times when even my basic needs weren't met. However, these challenges shaped me into the person I am today. They ignited a fire within me to pursue my dreams and goals relentlessly.
The Importance of Career Choices
Why am I sharing all this? Because choosing a career should align with your dreams, not just be a means to an end. During college, I enrolled in a course that wasn’t my first choice, but it was the only option financially available to me at the time. Thanks to my aunt, family, friends and a supportive foundation, I was able to complete my education up to college.
Interestingly, the course I was hesitant about—Bachelor of Science in Development Communication, majoring in Journalism—has become the foundation of my current endeavors. Although I didn’t graduate, the four years I spent in that field were invaluable. I learned so much and developed skills that I now apply in my blogging and vlogging.
Overcoming Regrets
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to those who supported me along the way, especially my cousin and a dear friend who inspired me. I sometimes feel I’ve let them down by not completing my degree, but I believe life is about learning and moving forward. Regrets may linger, but what matters is how we rise from our setbacks.
